Bally Technologies breaks slots tournament world record
Bally Technologies’ iVIEW Display Manager with Elite Bonusing Suite was responsible for powering the largest slots tournament in the world ever this month.
The world record breaking feat took place on Saturday 11th February at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. It now means that Bally Technologies holds the world record for hosting the largest slots tournament of all time.
It was also confirmed that Bally Technologies also broke the world record for the most number of slots machines using the same game at the same time. The game being played by all participants in this world record attempt was Bally Technologies’ Hot Shot Blazing 7s.
Over 1,100 players came together to contribute towards setting the new world record in what was a momentous day for Bally Technologies. The slots machines consisted of machines made by five different manufacturers.
More than $100,000 was available in prize money during the free event that saw a total of 2,885 players take part at various stages in the three round tournament process.
Bruce Rowe, Bally Technologies’ Senior Vice President of Strategy and Customer Consulting said “This is a great example of how server-based technology can create contagious excitement on games from multiple manufacturers and take one of the most popular special events for real players to a whole new level.”
