Gambler gives his winnings away
A big-hearted gambler, who is being dubbed the ‘Robin Hood of Vegas’, is taking money from the casinos and giving it to the poor.
The modern day outlaw does not roam in a forest on Nottingham, but at the blackjack tables in some of the most famous casinos in the world. He does however have a ‘Maid Marian’ – a very attractive Brazilian model going by the name of Lady Greice.
So far the unknown card shark has made $900,000 (£600,000) at the tables and has given it to families that need it more than he does. One family was given $30,000 to pay for the treatment of their baby daughter who had a brain tumour.
The 40-year-old gambler decided it was time to take from the rich and give to the poor, just like Robin Hood. He just worked out how to do it legally, winning money in casinos instead of robbing noblemen.
“Most people can only dream the sort of lifestyle I have: Jets to fly me to casinos, staying in 8,000sq floor penthouse apartments, so I wanted to give them a taste of what it is like,” he told the Daily Mail.
“It would be easier just to hand them money but by using my skills as a blackjack player it means that I have earned the money by doing my job,” he added.
The generous gambler admits the cards don’t always go his way, but the motivation of helping others always keeps his spirits up.
