A scandalous video has been released showing a horrific attack by police on a man after he left an Atlantic City Casino earlier this year.
The video shows David Connor Castellani, 20, being set upon by local police in an incident that left the victim with permanent injuries including nerve damage and a degree of paralysis.
Amazingly, Castellani is on charges of attempted assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and attempting to harm a police dog. However, the video appears to show that the attack from the police came unprovoked and at one point the dog even bites on Castellani’s head.
It is believed that Castellani was kicked out of the Tropicana Casino earlier in the night but it is alleged that his only wrongdoing was entering the casino as an underage individual. It has been claimed that the police confronted Castellani after he was shouting at them from across the street.
Castellani’s lawyer stated “I certainly don’t see aggravated assault on a police officer or a K-9. Quite frankly, I don’t see resisting, either.”
The chief of police in Atlantic City rebuffed the allegations against his officer saying “I saw the tape, and I saw no reason to suspend or remove the officers from their regular duties.”
Interestingly, one of the officers involved in the attack has already had three other similar complaints of brutality made against him suggesting that this is not the first time he has been involved in such a controversial incident.A scandalous video has been released showing a horrific attack by police on a man after he left an Atlantic City Casino earlier this year.
