An alcohol ban imposed at the Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford City, London has been lifted this week in news that will delight customers visiting the venue.
The ban on the venue serving alcohol had been put in place after CCTV footage revealed security staff at the venue appearing to “beat up” a disruptive punter. The footage shocked the local council and forced local authorities to take action against the super casino.
The ban came after the venue had already been prevented from serving alcohol in glass pints due to anti-social behaviour and was forced to sell all of its alcohol in plastic glasses in a move more associated with major sports events.
A council spokesperson said “The licensing authority and police were satisfied that the casino had implemented various measures to meet the additional conditions on its licence and had also taken steps to improve security processes.”
A review meeting has been scheduled for later this year where the lifting of the ban will be assessed to see whether the super casino can continue to sell alcohol on its premises. An alcohol ban imposed at the Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford City, London has been lifted this week in news that will delight customers visiting the venue.
